Phil is Liberty’s Head of Creative. A Liberty stalwart since joining in 2012 as a humble copywriter, he now works across our Delivery and Growth teams to ensure everything we do is as good as it can be.
With more than 10 years’ marketing experience, Phil has an NCTJ qualification in journalism, writes regularly for the Journal of Digital Marketing and Social Media and is also an ILM-accredited manager.
Responsible for heading up Liberty’s Content and SEO training, Phil has coached internal teams at Welsh Government, Benefit Cosmetics, Swansea University, Foster Wales and Universal Music, among many others.

Which celebrity do you most closely resemble?
 I’d say either James Van Der Beek or Denzel Washington.

What’s been the proudest moment of your little life so far? Winning Woodville Baptist FC’s Goal Of The Season 2014/15. It was a lovely lofted volley from the edge of the box with the outside of my boot. But I don’t want to talk about it.

What’s your death row meal? Have you heard of STURF? It consists of foodstuffs sourced exclusively from animals that live on both land and water – surf 'and' turf. So, a starter of roast ottertail soup followed by spatchcocked watervole - and washed down with a pint of platypiss.
